Case Study: Aleks Moving
This moving company vehicle wrap case study documents how Aleks Moving, a residential and commercial moving company based in Mississauga, transformed its fleet of Mercedes-Benz Metris cargo vans from unmarked white vehicles into high-visibility brand assets. The moving fleet wrap in the Mississauga project delivered an 85% increase in customer inquiries within four months of the first installation, proving that coordinated fleet branding is one of the highest-ROI marketing investments a moving company can make.
Aleks Moving competes in one of the GTA’s most crowded service industries. Dozens of moving companies operate across Mississauga, Brampton, Toronto, and Oakville, many offering similar pricing and service. This case study shows how professional moving van wrap design and fleet coordination gave Aleks Moving the visual edge that translated directly into business growth. The Challenge: Standing Out in Mississauga’s Crowded Moving Industry
Aleks Moving came to us with a visibility problem common across the moving industry. Their fleet of white Mercedes-Benz Metris cargo vans was completely unbranded, blending into traffic alongside hundreds of identical unmarked vans across the GTA. For a company that drives through residential neighbourhoods daily, loading furniture into driveways to move and parking on suburban streets for hours at a time, every unmarked trip was a missed opportunity to expose moving company vehicle branding to thousands of potential customers.
The business challenges were specific and measurable:
- Zero roadside recognition
- Competitive indistinguishability
– In a market with 50+ active moving companies, Aleks Moving’s unbranded vans were indistinguishable from the competition. Potential customers choosing between movers had no visual signal to differentiate quality and professionalism.
- Reliance on digital-only lead generation
– Without vehicle branding, the company relied entirely on Google Ads, social media, and referral platforms for new business, all of which have recurring costs and competitive bidding. The fleet was estimated to generate 30,000–70,000 wasted daily impressions per vehicle (OAAA data), resulting in zero brand awareness.
- Multi-vehicle inconsistency
– As the fleet grew, maintaining a cohesive brand identity across multiple vehicles became increasingly important. Without a coordinated commercial moving truck wrap system, adding branding piecemeal to individual vans risked creating an inconsistent visual identity.
Our Solution: Coordinated Fleet Wrap Program for Multi-Vehicle Branding
We designed and executed a full moving fleet wrap program for Aleks Moving’s Mercedes-Benz Metris fleet, building a scalable brand system that delivers identical visual impact across every vehicle in the operation. Design Strategy
The design needed to accomplish three things simultaneously: instantly identify the company, communicate “professional moving services” at a glance, and display contact information legibly at both highway speed and parking-lot distance. Our team created a bold moving company fleet graphics layout with the Aleks Moving brand name and logo as the dominant visual element, supported by service descriptors and prominently displayed phone number and website.
The colour scheme uses high-contrast brand colours that stand out against both residential and commercial streetscapes. Every design element was built in Adobe Illustrator using a dimensionally accurate Mercedes-Benz Metris template, with panel breaks, sliding door tracks, and body lines mapped precisely to ensure graphics align cleanly across every surface. See how we approach vehicle graphics and design.
Material Selection
We specified 3M IJ180 cast vinyl with Comply™ air-release adhesive as the primary print film. The Metris has moderate body curves, recessed door handles, and sliding door channels that require a conformable film with repositionable adhesive for clean installation. Paired with 3M 8518 gloss laminate for UV protection and scratch resistance, the system is expected to have an outdoor durability of 8–10 years, well beyond the typical 5–7-year commercial lifecycle.
For a moving company fleet, durability is critical. Vans are loaded and unloaded multiple times per day, furniture pads brush against side panels, and hand trucks contact bumper areas regularly. The 3M 8518 laminate provides the abrasion resistance needed to maintain a professional furniture-moving truck branding finish through years of daily commercial use.
Production & Fleet Coordination
Graphics were printed on our HP Latex wide-format printers, laminated, and precision-cut for each Metris panel. The fleet was wrapped using a staggered production schedule, 2–3 vehicles per week, so that Aleks Moving could keep the majority of its fleet operational throughout the branding process. Each vehicle took 3–5 business days from drop-off to completion.
The design was built as a scalable template system with documented colour specifications and production files stored for future fleet additions. When Aleks Moving adds new vehicles, each unit receives identical branding with colour output matched to the original fleet, ensuring perfect consistency even months or years after the initial installation.
The Results: 85% Inquiry Growth and Stronger Brand Recognition
Within four months of the first vehicle wrap installation, Aleks Moving experienced a measurable business impact directly attributed to their new fleet branding:
- 85% increase in customer inquiries
– Aleks Moving tracked a significant jump in inbound calls and quote requests that corresponded directly with the fleet wrap rollout. New customers frequently mentioned seeing the branded vans in their neighbourhood or on the road as their first point of contact with the company.
- Neighbourhood-level lead generation
– Every residential move became a multi-hour advertisement to the surrounding street. Homeowners watching the branded Metris fleet load furniture now had a company name, phone number, and website visible from across the street, converting a routine service call into dozens of passive brand impressions.
- Competitive differentiation
– In a market saturated with unmarked white vans, Aleks Moving’s consistently branded fleet immediately projected professionalism and scale. Prospects comparing moving companies now had a visual signal of quality that unbranded competitors couldn’t match.
- Compounding fleet recognition
– Multiple branded Metris vans operating across the same GTA corridors created a fleet presence that made Aleks Moving feel larger than their actual vehicle count. Residents who saw two or three identical-branded vans in the same week showed significantly stronger brand recall than any single advertising touchpoint could achieve.
The mover truck wrap Mississauga project transformed Aleks Moving’s fleet from an operational cost into their most productive marketing channel, generating continuous brand impressions across every route, every neighbourhood, and every job site without a single dollar in recurring advertising spend.

What This Project Demonstrates
The Aleks Moving case study illustrates several principles that apply to any moving company vehicle wrap or service fleet branding project:
Moving companies have a unique dwell-time advantage
Unlike delivery vehicles that stop briefly, moving vans park in residential driveways for 2–6 hours per job. That extended visibility turns every move into sustained advertising exposure to the entire surrounding street, an advantage that few other industries can match.
Fleet consistency accelerates recognition
Two or three identically branded vans on the same routes create a presence disproportionate to fleet size. Aleks Moving’s coordinated branding made the company feel established and reliable, which is critical in an industry where customers hand over their belongings to strangers.
Staggered production minimizes downtime
By scheduling fleet wraps in batches of 2–3 vehicles per week, Aleks Moving maintained operational capacity throughout the branding process. No moving jobs were delayed or cancelled for the wrap project.
Template-based design protects long-term consistency
Documented production files and colour references ensure that future vehicles match the existing fleet exactly, preventing the patchwork appearance that undermines fleet branding when vehicles are wrapped at different times.
